Telegram mini app advertising: who sells each slot, and at what floor
Telegram mini app advertising is sold by two kinds of seller. Telegram's own platform places sponsored messages in channels, above bot chats and in search, while networks such as AdsGram, RichAds, TADS, PropellerAds and Monetag fill screens inside Mini Apps. Stated floors run from $0.015 per click to 0.1 TON per thousand views.
What is telegram mini app advertising, and who sells the space?
Telegram itself sells the slots that sit around a chat: under channel posts, in an action bar above a bot conversation, in global search, and in a small text box on channel videos, as the sponsored messages documentation lays out. The screens a Mini App draws are the developer's own web page, so Telegram does not sell them; third-party networks do, through a script the developer adds. Telegram app advertising in general, and telegram mini ads in particular, therefore splits in two, which is why a search for telegram mini apps advertising returns both Telegram's ad console and a dozen network landing pages. If your Mini App is still being built, start with how a Telegram Mini App is put together, because the ad SDK sits inside that code. For the business case around it, our overview of Telegram as a business channel covers where paid reach fits next to channels and bots.
Which telegram mini app ads network sets which price floor?
| Seller | Where the ad shows | Billing unit | Stated floor | Stated entry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Telegram Ads (official) | Public channels with 1,000+ subscribers; bot chats and search per the API docs | CPM in Toncoin | 0.1 TON per 1,000 views | None stated; add funds first |
| AdsGram | Full-screen media in Mini Apps, task lists, above the chat list; also resells official ads | CPM (tCPC and tCPA goals still billed per 1,000) | Not published | Not published |
| RichAds | Push-style buttons, interstitials, video, embedded banners, playables | CPC for push-style, CPM for the rest | $0.015 CPC; $1.5 CPM interstitial; $3 CPM video | $150 deposit |
| TADS | Text-and-logo block, banners, full-screen, rewarded | CPC or CPM | Not published | Self-serve from $50 |
| PropellerAds | Interstitials, task-list placements, banners in Mini Apps | Not in the launch release | Not published | Not published |
| Monetag (publisher side) | Rewarded interstitial in the chat feed, auto-closes after 15 seconds | Pays app owners in USD, weekly at most | n/a (you are paid) | Free to join |
| Yandex Direct | Promotes a public channel; placements picked automatically | Per click or per engaged click | Not published | Weekly budget, no minimum stated |
When we checked these pages on 18 October, we saw that RichAds' own Telegram ads page gave the embedded-banner floor as $0.04 per thousand views, while a RichAds blog post said $0.4. We could not tell which is current, so the table leaves that row's banner figure out; ask the account manager before you budget on it. The other numbers come from each seller's own page: Telegram's getting-started guide for the 0.1 TON floor and the 1,000-subscriber channel rule, and TADS' homepage for the $50 entry. Any telegram ad exchange that will not show its floor before signup is asking you to deposit first and learn the price later.
Do ads in Telegram Mini Apps come from Telegram itself?
Telegram's revenue documentation states that channel and bot owners "can now receive 50% of the revenue" from ads shown in their channels and bots. So a bot with real traffic already earns from official ads without any SDK, while a Mini App earns only through a network. Buying on the official side means a CPM bid in Toncoin; the full breakdown is in our guide to what the official Telegram Ads platform costs, and the currency question is answered in paying for Telegram Ads in TON or euros. Owners on the selling side should also read the channel monetization requirements, because the payout rules for channels and bots are set in the same place. The Mini Apps terms we read on 18 October contain no ad clause at all.
What do ads inside a Telegram bot actually look like?
People who search "inside ads telegram bot" usually mean that bar, and the gap between it and in-chat promos is where telegram bot ads get muddy. Some bots post sponsor lines into their replies or broadcast promos to everyone who pressed Start. Telegram treats that as the bot's own sending, so users who report it can get the bot limited; our page on what Telegram counts as spam and how limits work explains the line. A cleaner route is to keep ads in the official bar and make the bot itself worth using. Builders make that cheap: compare no-code bot builders, or pair a customer-facing Telegram chatbot with an autoresponder for common questions. In groups, ad posts from members are a moderation issue, and the group management bots we compared can filter them.
Is Telegram advertising sold per click (CPC) or per view (CPM)?
For telegram paid ads the unit decides what you are risking. CPM buys exposure, so a weak creative costs the same as a strong one. CPC moves that risk to the network, which is why click floors look tiny next to view floors: $0.015 per click against $1.5 per thousand interstitial views at RichAds. Neither number tells you the cost of a user who opens your app and stays, and that is the only figure worth comparing across sellers. Work it out from your own tracking after a test. It also helps to know what is free before you spend: Telegram itself costs nothing to use, as our note on what Telegram and Premium cost sets out, so paid ads compete with organic routes that cost only time.
How do RichAds, PropellerAds and AdsGram differ for Telegram ads?
RichAds ads in Telegram cover push-style, interstitial, video, embedded banner and playable units, with the deposit and floors listed in its FAQ. PropellerAds Telegram ads arrived through a March 2025 launch release naming interstitials, task-list placements and banners, including ads shown when a player runs out of lives in a game. AdsGram's site lists full-screen media and inline ads in task lists and above the chat list, billed per thousand views, and says it sells official Telegram Ads as a reseller. The audience on all three skews toward games and crypto, so a non-crypto product should test small first; our crypto and web3 community guide explains that crowd. Creative sizes differ per network, and our collection of Telegram ad examples and image sizes covers the official side.
Where does Yandex fit in Telegram advertising?
Per the Yandex Direct help page, you add its yandex_advert_bot to the channel as an administrator so it can track subscriptions, and the channel must be public. The system creates ten ads from your posts, you can add up to 50, and you set a weekly budget with no minimum stated. With the fixed option, plain clicks are free and you pay only for engaged clicks. That makes yandex telegram ads a channel-subscriber tool; if your Mini App has a companion channel, it can feed that, and the channel then points people to the app. For other ways to put a channel in front of people, see our guide to buying posts in Telegram channels and groups.
How do you monetize a Telegram Mini App with ads?
The Monetag telegram mini app setup is typical. Monetag's rewarded interstitial release describes the flow: add your Mini App's URL, switch the format on in an ad zone, paste the code, and the ad shows as a message in the chat feed that closes by itself after 15 seconds; publishers are paid in USD as often as weekly. Telegram mini app monetization does not have to be ads alone. Paid features and digital goods run through Stars, which our guide to accepting payments on Telegram covers, and recurring access works through paid membership bots. Physical goods fit a Telegram shop or store bot. If your rewards look like prizes, the rules in our piece on running a Telegram giveaway apply, and making money with Telegram bots compares the models side by side.
Is there a free Telegram ads bot, and what does advertising software add?
We found no published audit of any free telegram ads bot, so treat their reach claims as unverified and expect spammy swaps. Telegram advertising software earns its keep after the click: a bot that answers people who arrive, or a workflow that sends each new user to your CRM. Our walkthroughs of Telegram integrations with Zapier and CRMs and an n8n Telegram bot setup show both. Outreach tools are a separate category: cold outreach automation tools compares them, the mass messaging platform overview explains what a managed service adds, and the mass DM bot guide and our own Telegram Mass DM bot cover messaging people who opted in.
What changed in Telegram ads for 2026, and what does Reddit add?
The practical change is that one product can now buy official ads around its bot and network ads inside its Mini App in the same week. What has not changed is the shortage of independent data: no seller in our table publishes audited conversion rates, and TADS says on its own page that it does not track conversions in third-party apps. Searches for telegram ads reddit turn up threads where advertisers trade floor prices and complain about bot traffic; we did not survey them for this page, so use the table above, which we checked line by line, and your own test numbers instead.
- Decide which side you are on. Buying reach for a bot or Mini App, or selling screens inside your own app: the networks list different terms for each.
- Pick the slot before the network. Above-chat and channel slots are only sold by Telegram; full-screen and rewarded slots only exist inside a Mini App.
- Read the floor and the entry ticket together. A low CPC means little behind a $150 deposit if your test budget is $60.
- Run one small test per network. Track starts of the bot or opens of the Mini App on your side, not the dashboard's clicks.
- Keep what pays back, cut the rest. Move budget only after a week of your own numbers.
When are paid ads the wrong buy for a Telegram product?
An audience you own costs less than one you rent. A channel grows through the routes in our Telegram channel promotion guide, and a community can live on Telegram or elsewhere, as community platforms compared and Telegram vs Discord for communities show. People who opted in can hear from you directly: messaging marketing explained, how to DM someone on Telegram and what Telegram mass DM is cover the basics, while cold DMs versus DM automation marks where it stops being welcome. Tools that pull strangers into groups, like a Telegram member adder, carry the report risk ads avoid. If you want help, our Telegram Mass DM service runs opt-in campaigns, the 2026 roundup of mass DM services shows the alternatives, the FAQ answers the usual questions, and the Telegram marketing blog has the rest.
FAQ
Can I show Telegram's official ads inside my Mini App?
No. Telegram's sponsored messages appear in channels, in a bar above bot chats, in search and on channel videos. Mini App screens are your own web page, so ads there come from a third-party network whose script you add, such as AdsGram, Monetag or RichAds.
What is the cheapest way to start advertising a Telegram Mini App?
Of the sellers we checked on 18 October 2026, TADS listed the lowest entry, with self-serve campaigns from $50. RichAds asks for a $150 deposit. Telegram's own platform states no minimum deposit but sets a floor of 0.1 TON per thousand views.
Is Telegram advertising CPC or CPM?
Telegram's official ads are priced per thousand views in Toncoin. Click pricing exists only on third-party networks: RichAds bills push-style ads per click from $0.015, AdsGram can optimize toward clicks while billing per view, and Yandex Direct can charge per engaged click.
How much do bot owners earn from official Telegram ads?
Telegram's API documentation says channel and bot owners can receive 50% of the revenue from ads displayed in their channels and bots. The page we read gives no threshold, and withdrawal rules sit in Telegram's separate revenue withdrawal documentation.
Do Telegram's Mini App terms allow ads?
The Telegram Mini Apps terms we read on 18 October 2026 contain no clause about advertising. Your obligations come from the ad network's publisher terms, Telegram's general terms for bot developers, and the advertising rules on ads.telegram.org if you buy official ads.
Are free Telegram ads bots worth using?
Usually not for anything you need to measure. Free ads bots tend to run ad swaps between channels or bots, and none can place official Telegram Ads. We found no published audit of their reach, so test them with something you can afford to lose.
